Kaxite supplies asbestos packing only where the destination market permits it. Buyers in the EU, US, Australia, and other restricted markets are recommended glass fiber or ceramic fiber alternatives instead. This page maps the current position and the documents that accompany each shipment.
Confirm Your Market Position →| Market | Asbestos status | Recommended alternative |
|---|---|---|
| European Union | Restricted under REACH Annex XVII; new use and placing on the market are highly limited. | P801P glass fiber; P803 ceramic fiber; P262 graphite-impregnated glass fiber. |
| United States | Partially restricted by EPA; OSHA occupational exposure limits apply. | P801P glass fiber; P803 ceramic fiber, subject to buyer's OSHA compliance plan. |
| Australia | Comprehensive ban on asbestos and asbestos-containing products. | P801P glass fiber; P803 ceramic fiber. |
| China | Permitted with occupational controls; export must meet destination regulation. | P260 and P264 available for permitted domestic and export destinations. |
| Other markets | Varies by jurisdiction; confirmation requested before order acceptance. | Determined per destination during inquiry review. |
To prevent shipments that cannot legally clear customs, Kaxite requests the destination country, the intended application, and confirmation that asbestos is permitted in the buyer's jurisdiction. If asbestos is restricted at the destination, the engineering team recommends a glass fiber or ceramic fiber grade that matches the operating envelope — usually P801P for dynamic service up to 600 °C, or P803 for static high-temperature service up to 850 °C.
This is not a disclaimer. It is the same compliance check a buyer's own legal team would run, done before the proforma invoice is issued.
